You do not that Viggo and Ariadna Gil are together and have been for sometime. And I think perhaps you should not read to much into the poems he puts up and writes - he is more than aware of his image and crafts it well.

It does seem Viggo and Ariadna have been together for awhile. Since I can only dream of him, I am glad if he has found love again finally.
As far as reading into his poems go, I don't really "read too much into" their meaning. But that doesn't stop me from visiting his site in order to learn new poems I've never been exposed to before.
I find great delight in all the poetry Viggo has introduced to us all via Perceval Press. I don't imagine there are any actual secret messages hidden in what his posts. Don't worry on that account...
surfed by from song search and then clik'd a few... you have an interesting diversity of interests, but your 10 year quest/obsession with Viggo leaves a few questions... you have a six year old daughter? (don't see a continuity on some level, did you love another man or could this be a child of adoption or other?)

Was going to explain myself to you but I really don't feel the need to justify myself or my life to someone I don't know who wanders on to my site.
Glad you find my diversity of interests interesting but I do not need to explain my interest in Viggo Mortensen or my daughter's parentage (short term relationship, if you must know) to you. Not sure what you think my "obsession with Viggo" has to do with my daughter though...
Also not sure what you mean by continuity? My life is a long continuity of moments.... What else can I say?
Lovely website! I'm so glad I can visit you here today! I'm having lots of fun exploring the pages and getting to know more about you! Wonderful and fun bio, by the way.

He writes these for his true love. Right now they cannot be together and he pines for her. They will be together as soon as she can, as she pines for him as well. She lives in L.A.

Surely others know the answer better than I do. Perhaps your answer is the right one for all I know. If so, then great for him. It won't stop me pining away for him myself though. ;-)
But if that is so, what's with all the secrecy? Who is this "true love" who lives in L.A.?
Got this from a guy who keeps at website of tango translations. He did it up quickly while waiting for a plane...but - it's miles ahead of the online translator!
Te Quiero
I love to you, like nobody loved you like nobody will love you.
I adore you, as one adores in life, the woman that one will love.
I love you, as life is loved when life is beauty; as one loves a brother; as one loves a mother, with that love without equal, as one loves in the life, once, and nothing else.
Today I love you more than yesterday, but less than tomorrow and no superhuman force can stop my love. The caresses are very pretty, if they come from the heart and they are pretty the loves that conserve the illusion.
And if a love causes it, it is sublime, eve the pain and the pains, are not pains, when they are love pains. Today I love you more than yesterday but less than tomorrow; my passion is sovereign, and reclaims your love.

Thanks so much for this translation! I love it! Yes, much better than the online translators!
The reason you're getting so many hits off Viggo Mortensen's name is that a website called whosdatingwho.com has you listed as his current girlfriend. Every journalist in the world who's currently writing an article regarding "Alatriste" or the upcoming TIFF release of "Eastern Promises" has likely hit it while researching. He's notoriously quiet about his love life.

Well, that would explain it. Is it a really popular website? Humorously, I thought about blocking my "Crush on Viggo" page from browsers before I put it up but didn't. Let me quash any rumors right now. As much as I'd love to be dating Viggo Mortensen, I am not. I've never even met the man, except in my dreams. ;-)
HI Astartiel, Lovely site... thought I'd check in as my interests include a little of all of yours and I 'feel' for you! Your poetry is really good. I enjoyed (and will continue to while I explore the site) reading it, which is not so very often (esp. not on the net). Perhaps I can steer a book your way: "Selu - Seeking the Corn-Mother's Wisdom' by Marilou Awaikta ISBN 1-55591-206-0 (hard to find, though, perhaps). I'm doing a writing course now to learn every aspect incl. journalism. If I find any clues re. the 'income project' I'll mail you and perhaps you can give me clues on writing.
Please do keep an eye open for my site www.ask-roebok.com to be coming soon. Hope to build a plattform/movement for people who who 'have an opinion' and want to do a little to better the(ir) world. Love, and best wishes, Ro)ebok

I just learned about this reply feature, so I thought I'd use it. It's been quite awhile but I thought I'd thank you about what you wrote in my guestbook. I have never read that book but I did look through it one time and it did like fairly interesting.
I studied journalism for awhile in college. I only lost interest when I realized I wouldn't be writing what I wanted but what I was told to write (ie: whatever happens to be the hot story of the moment). But I am glad that I learned how to write well from those classes.
Thanks again for all you wrote! - Jenny / Astartiel
